Don’t Miss The Hidden Blessing.

This is just a quick little post to say hello and I miss my blog family.
I had a little more than a week off from work and really enjoyed the time with my family.
I returned to work fat and depressed, but I’m working on it. I was depressed because I miss the family since they are a constant source of love and free entertainment. I was fat because I slept and ate more than normal. Anyway……

I had an interesting conversation with a co-worker. A group of us would always meet once a week for Bible Study. Somehow I became the recognized leader of the group so one day this friend stopped by to apologize, saying she wouldn’t be able to come to Bible Study because she had to go pay a bill. As I looked at her I could see that she was down about missing the study and maybe frustrated at having to handle this business at lunch time. So I asked her, “You got a bill?” She said in a draaaagging way, “Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhh”. I said again, “You’ve got a bill?” and she said again in a draaaaggging way, “Yeeeeaaaaaahhhhh”. Then I said, “You’ve got a bill and you’re going to go pay it.” Suddenly a light went on and she said, “Yeah, I’ve got a bill and I can pay it.” We had people showing up to Bible Study praying about how to pay bills, but she actually had the answer in her bank account. Sometimes it’s so easy to see issues and problems but this year I’m focusing on seeing the blessing that the enemy would try to hide.

(Complaint) The CD changer in my truck won’t change (play or eject), (blessing) so all I can do is sing and all I know is worship soooooooo a worshiping I go. It’s also an opportunity to hear from God.

(Complaint) My wife may take an evening class, meaning I’ll have to pick up the baby, bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan, and ………..(blessing) have some exclusive time being entertained by Gladys Knight and the Pips. (I have one girl and three boys who put on a great show). (other blessing) And somehow even after Christmas, my oldest son's birthday in January , my youngest son's birthday in January, my wedding anniversary on February 5th, and my daughters birthday in February, we can somehow still afford the cost of this masters level course and books.

(Complaint) I may not be able to post 51 more times this year as I hope to do, but (blessing) I can dedicate more time to visiting your blogs and praying for y'all.

See ya next week if not sooner

And I will give you treasures hidden in the darkness – secret riches. I will do this so you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, the one who calls you by name. Isaiah 45:3 (NLT)

You may "have been" fat and depressed but the blessings is you still have a pulse! (smile)

Additonal blessings:
You have a truck
You have a wife
You have 10 fingers
You have a friend in me whether you meet your goal of 51 or not!

Love, peace and blessings!!!

Hi! I'm so glad to know that you are well and still blessed by the best. I prayed for you when I hadn't heard from you in a while. It's a blessing that you've been spending some QT with the family.

It's funny how we can find ourselves complaining about things that are burdens to us and would be blessings to others. Thank you for allowing God to use to to tell me (in so many words) to looking at the problem but to start thanking the Problem Solver.

Blessings!
Shanita

Hey brother, I've missed you too. Its good to hear your voice again. ON the subject of getting fat, thats an understatement in my case because a sista has gained 40 pounds in a year. There's a lot of reasons for that, depression, not caring however,
God is delivering from that behavior too. I am getting back on track litterally. Praise God we had food to get fat on, lol. Now back to what we know. Stay well my brother and always know that I am thinking of you. I am also glad you got to spend some quality time with the family and fix the bacon too, lol. On another note, I really haven't had time to blog or read any blogs myself. I've missed all my new friends. I've been extremely busy and now its tax season so my work is cut out for me. But to God goes the Glory. He has given me a second income that I desparately needed and prayed for. Again stay well and keep in touch when you can ~ PEACE ~
