Bullet Prayer - I Need You Lord!

I had an overwhelming weekend. As the man of the house everyone else was fine so to some extent my job was done. I helped my wife complete a project for her technology class. I cooked dinner and gave a son a haircut. But I still had a lot of things I needed to do for me. Problem was I felt like I was running on empty. Spiritual empty. I started walking through the house mumbling, but this time my mumbling was productive. I couldn’t remember any Greek or Hebrew or any fancy lyrically potent words to pray. I didn't even have a scripture come to mind so I just said Lord, I need you. Lord I need you. Lord I need you now. From that simple prayer I gained an immediate sense of relief. It reminds me of an article I read some years ago about bullet prayers. Those are the prayers you pray when you can’t avoid an accident so you just say JESUS! Or GOD HELP! Or you scream anything and God hears you and he avoids the accident for you. It's also a good prayer to use when you're feeling run down, or overwhelmed. Anyway if you find yourself short on words or time try a bullet prayer; like this one………

Now there is an idea...Like a lot of people, I feel like I have to give God a long and detailed prayer
everytime I feel run down or no prayer at all...Sometimes when words can't be spoken...God hears the cry of the heart, I'm told..
I think a bullet prayer would do me good..especially with the day I'm having.

Bullet prayers...thank you Jesus for them! In my line of work...like Keith said, you just can't get out a long prayer. SLC, thank you for this one!

God Bless!
I feel you I learned sometimes you just have to pray to get to a point to want to pray for what you KNOW you need. Glad you seem to have re-centered.

2 Chronicles 34:27
Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before God... I have heard you, declares the Lord.

Love, peace and blessings.
