BEAT UP A DUMMY DAY

IF YOU'VE EVER FELT LIKE WHUPPIN A

CO-WORKERS BEHIND

Psalms 25:20 O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.

Psalms 39:1 I'm determined to watch steps and tongue so they won't land me in trouble. I decided to hold my tongue as long as Wicked is in the room. (Message Translation)

The scriptures above were found during the midst of a frustrating day at work. Like a butterfly I should have flown away (or called in sick) before the work day started. When I found myself with an overwhelming desire to cuss someone up one side and down the other I knew I had to do something so I took a walk. They should be glad I did. Afterwards I wanted to find some scriptures that dealt with refraining from hanging a size 10 œ Sketcher...........you know.

The first scripture is a reminder that I've got to represent. I'm an ambassador after all representing a leader that's out of this world. The people around me have enough issues without me dousing my spiritual flame and body slamming them.

The second scripture is a reminder that the most powerful thing I have is my tongue, and no matter what it's always better to speak life than to tell someone to go to hell. Oh don't get me wrong it feels good for a moment but if the relationship is going to continue, then I want to be the one that paves a road of peace for my subjects to follow (Yes I Am Royalty).

Peace

Turn your back on sin; do something good.

Embrace peace - don't let it get away! Psalms 34:14

I really needed to read this. I'm going through something similar at work. I have a co-worker i'd like to do a few things to, but I won't allow myself to stoop to her level. It's hard, but i've been able to stay calm. I've actually surprised myself because I have sort of a bad temper and a low tolerance for b.s.

I'm loving Psalms 34:14.
I feel both of you, unfortunately as a supervisor I could tell off my subordinates and have someone file a complaint or I could tell off my superiors and get demoted or suspended..... So I've decided to smile so damn hard that it looks permanent (lol). I know they all wonder what they hell is she so happy about? I'm happy because I know that their "issues" have nothing to do with me and they're too lost to realize that what I possess they can too if they just open up the bible. And when prayer doesn't work, I vent to a close friend for about 10 minutes because it's never healthy to hold that "stuff" in and lastly, I surf the blog for your positive and enlighting messages... Keep feeding me SLC, Strongblkwm, Stacye and Don a sista can't stand alone! Peace and blessings and SLC if at all possible spread some luv around that place because the devil is working overtime and I don't won't it to rub off on you!
Hey I was working my other job this morning.. The one where I'm alone in the car for 6 hours with my thoughts and my bible and I found this for you...

2Samuel 22:3&4 The Lord is my rock, my fortress & my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield & the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge & my savior-

I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am save from my enemies.

Those people on work only have as much power as you give them!

The workplace is definitely one of those places where it's better to bite your tongue and tune out certain things because, like you, I will have spoken something that I know I'd regret.

I wish a few of my co-workers would keep their attitudes @ home. Then again, it makes me appreciate the sensible co-workers even more.

Too funny @ hanging a size 10.

Thanks to all.
To put things in proper PERSPECTIVE, our jobs are leaving Virginia and heading to Great Valley Pennsylvania. From there, some of the jobs will go to India. That morning we had an extra early meeting to figure out how to make this transition smoothly. I'll post more later, but all of you are a blessing. Thanx.

I know how hard it can be to hold your tongue. Once we say things from our mouths it can't be taken back. Working in law enforcement can be very demanding and there are times when you really want to tell people off...especially when they're stuck on STUPID! SLC, hold on to God's unchanging hand and He will see you though this period at work. IT WILL WORK OUT IN YOUR FAVOR IN JESUS NAME!
